The percentage of pre-kindergarten four-year-olds living in the Montevideo school district during the year prior to enrollment in Kindergarten who have an opportunity to attend a preschool in 2018-19 will continue to be above to 90% in the fall of 2019.

88.2% of students in Kindergarten in the fall of 2019 (that have lived in Montevideo during the previous year) have attended preschool.
All Students in Third Grade Achieving Grade-Level Literacy

The percentage of third grade students that meet or exceed reading standards on the MCA tests will increase from 51% or higher in the 2019-2020 school year. Also the percentage of students in grades 1-3 that meet or exceed spring to spring reading growth goals as assessed in a nationally normed achievement test will continue to increase for our 5 year goal (improving from 55% in year one and growing to 60% in year 5) and meet or exceed 55% in 2020.

Close the Achievement Gap(s) Among All Groups
The gap between the FRP students and the Non-FRP students in math will decrease so that at the end of the 2019-2020 school year, there will only be a gap of 21% as compared to 24.5% in 2019 as demonstrated on the MCA III by the following proficiency rate increases.
Non-FRP proficiency rates will increase from 65.9% in 2019 to 72.0% in 2019
FRP proficiency rates will increase from 41.5% in 2019 to 51% in 2019

The percentage of all students enrolled October 1 in grade 8 at Montevideo Public Schools who earn an achievement level of Meets the Standards or Exceeds the Standards in mathematics on all state accountability tests (MCA, MTAS) will increase from 56% in 2019 to 65% by the Spring of 2024. In 2020, 58% will meet or exceed the state standards.
